Altrincham is set to get its first trampoline park after Jump Xtreme announced plans to open a major new facility in Broadheath.

Specialist planning consultants, Turley, have been appointed to submit plans to Trafford Council which, if approved, will see Jump Xtreme’s third UK site opening in late 2016. It already has sites in Bolton and the West Midlands.

The Broadheath park will be located next door to B&Q on the Atlantic Street Retail Park, and will create up to 60 new jobs.

A complete programme of refurbishment is planned to incorporate the latest innovations in trampoline park design.

Cliff Nicholls, founder of Jump Xtreme, said: “Altrincham has always been earmarked as a prime location for one of our parks. We’ve been looking for months for an ideal location in the area and are delighted that we’ve secured what we believe to be the perfect site, in terms of size, position and accessibility.

“Once our plans are approved we will be recruiting for up to 60 roles offering excellent career prospects in this fast growing leisure sector.”

The park will also offer a dodge-ball court, basketball hoops, airbag pits for stunt jumping, tumble tracks and stunt boxes. For non-jumpers, there will be a coffee shop and free wi-fi.

Trampoline parks have grown rapidly in popularity in recent years, but currently the nearest park to Altrincham is Jump Nation in Trafford Park.
