The owners of cocktail bar Riddles are to launch a new specialist spirit shop in Altrincham town centre.

Del Lowe and Emma Rostaing are teaming up with Drinks Enthusiast owner Dave Marsland to open Riddles Emporium in the former Ivy House site on Regent Road.

Scheduled to open its doors on April 1st, the shop will sell a wide range of spirits, high-end products, cocktail equipment, books, bitters, homemade tinctures and syrups. Its tagline will be ‘Liquor and Sundries’.

It will also host regular small tasting events on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as the occasional classic cocktail masterclass.

The owners say the new shop will have a “definite synergy” with Riddles bar, adopting a similar vintage look and feel, and will house a number of bottles not widely available in larger stores.

“We are so excited about not only giving people the absolute best drinks in our bar but extending that into their homes too – and we know the people of Altrincham will love this, said Del Lowe, 33.

“This town is definitely a knowledgeable and passionate place when it comes to fine drinking.”

The shop will open with a series of tasting events, all free of charge, with tickets available here.
