Loreto Preparatory School’s super fit young athletes have won both the under-9 and under-12 North-West Independent School’s Association Athletics Championships.

The icing on the cake was a tug of war win when the girls took on all comers leaving a number of mixed and boys teams in their wake.

The Loreto girls beat 10 other top schools at both age levels, finishing in sixth spot from 16 schools across the region.

Loreto Preparatory School’s Head of PE, Jan Brett, said: “The girls are a joy to coach; talented, determined and always competing with smiles on the faces.”
