Here’s a first look inside the new Nando’s Altrincham, which officially opens tomorrow.
The global peri-peri chicken chain is opening its new restaurant – its 14th in Greater Manchester – in the former McDonald’s on the corner of Stamford New Road and Cross Street.
The opening marks something of a milestone for Altrincham for a building that had become a symbol of the degeneration of the town in the late noughties and early 2010s.
McDonald’s had thrived in the location for 23 years before closing in 2007, and the unit had lain dormant for years before Stamford Quarter owner Lunar invested several hundreds of thousands in the site’s refurbishment last year.
