Jona Lewie, singer of the iconic festive hit Stop The Cavalry, is to headline the Hale Barns Christmas Concert.
Taking place at Holy Angels Church on Sunday December 17th, Lewie will lead a selection of local artists at the event, with tickets available now.
Stop The Cavalry has sold millions of copies worldwide and can be found on virtually every Christmas CD.
Lewie also enjoyed a top 20 hit with You’ll Always Find Me in the Kitchen at Parties.
Also appearing at the concert will be teen soprano sensation Scarlett Quigley, who wowed audiences at the Hale Barns Carnival in July, the Di Voci ladies choir and the Festival Chamber Orchestra, with St Ambrose College Choir and Kaleidoscope Big Band completing the line-up.
Organisers are also promising a “number of special surprises” at the event.
Max Eden said: “This has to be the perfect Christmas concert line-up for the whole family to enjoy – to have Jona Lewie perform in Hale Barns is a real honour just days after his show at Wembley Arena in London, performing in the village alongside our amazing local talent.
“Our recent Festival Orchestra, who sold out the venue last month, is returning as well as the superb Kaleidoscope’s big brass and horn section. It’s going to sound like Christmas should!”
The concert will follow Hale Barns at Christmas, which will feature 35 stalls selling gifts, crafts and artisan food from the local area, as well as funfair rides and activities and a special visit from Santa Claus himself.
The outdoor events are open from 12-7pm in the car park of Holy Angels Church.
Tickets for the evening concert are on sale now at £20 for adults and £10 for children under 16, available online here and through See Tickets.
