Dunham Massey’s annual Rose Queen Festival will take place on Saturday 19th May – and to coincide with the royal wedding, will have a royal fancy dress theme.

Freya Young, 12, a pupil at Loreto Grammar School and Bowdon Church School pupil Hallie Royle, 10, will be crowned Rose Queen and Rose Bud respectively.

Both Freya and Hallie have lived in Dunham Massey their whole lives and are delighted to have been chosen for their roles.

They will be raising money over the year ahead for their respective charities, St Ann’s Hospice and North West Air Ambulance.

The parade will leave Dunham Massey Hall at 1.45pm and proceed through the village to Dunham Village Hall, where the crowning will take place at 2.45 pm.

There will be a fun dog show, Morris Dancers, traditional games, climbing wall and lots more.
