Timperley’s Co-op store is to reopen next month after a £700,000 makeover.

The main Stockport Road store has been closed for the past few weeks with a temporary shop currently in place in the car park.

The new-look store will reopen on Friday June 1st after a refurbishment that will create four new jobs.

The store will have an enhanced in-store bakery, Costa coffee dispenser, hot food and an increased focus on fresh, healthy foods, meal ideas, wines and essentials.

Joanne Bannister, Co-op store manager, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to carry out such a significant investment in Timperley, enabling the store to better serve its members and customers.

“We are proud to be part of the community, and our ambition is to ensure our store is a local hub, a real asset locally.”
