Patients in Trafford can now book GP appointments in the evenings and at weekends

Patients in Altrincham and across Trafford will be able to book medical appointments in the evenings and at the weekends from now on.

Patients in Altrincham and across Trafford will be able to book medical appointments in the evenings and at the weekends from now on.

Patients can book appointments to see a GP or practice nurse between 6.30pm and 8pm between Monday and Friday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Four hubs across Trafford – including one in Altrincham at St John’s Medical Centre on St John’s Road – will be open during these times and patients will be directed to the nearest available hub to them.

Dr Mark Jarvis, Medical Director at Trafford Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “We know that many people can’t always get a nurse or a GP appointment that’s convenient and fits in with their family life and work commitments.

“All patients in Trafford who are registered with a GP practice within the borough have access to the extended access service offered through the four hubs, regardless of the practice. This is fantastic news for patients, who can schedule an appointment to fit around their busy lives as they are now able to see a GP seven days a week.”
