Free Remembrance Sunday concert to take place in Hale Barns – and all other details of services across Altrincham

Remembrance Sunday services honouring fallen war heroes will take place across the Altrincham area this Sunday with a free concert happening in Hale Barns.

The remembrance concert will hope to “bring the community together” at Holy Angels Church on Wicker Lane at 7.30pm.

The concert has been organised by Hale Barns events, the team behind the Hale Barns Carnival, and will feature the 40-piece Lymm Concert band performing works like Nimrod, The Dam Busters and Danny Boy.

Max Eden, of Hale Barns Events, said: “We are tremendously excited to stage this remembrance concert with the Lymm Concert Band.

“The concert has been made free entry to encourage the community to come together to remember our fallen heroes.”

The concert will be inside Holy Angels Church in Hale Barns

The Mayor of Trafford Tom Ross added: “We all owe a great debt to those heroes who gave their lives so that we can live in freedom.”

Dunham Road Garden of Remembrance, service starts 10.50am

Bowdon Parish Church, service starts inside the church at 10.45am

War Memorial, Broomfield Lane, Hale, service starts 3.15pm. Parade from Leigh Road outside Hale Library 2.55pm

Hale Barns
War Memorial at the junction of Hale Road and Wicker Lane, service starts 10.55am
