Alan Ayckbourn’s play Absurd Person Singular is coming to Altrincham Garrick.

The festive-themed play opens on Monday November 26th and runs to Saturday 1st December.

It features three couples, three kitchens and three different Christmas Eves that culminate in Christmas comedy gold.

The show first premiered at the Library Theatre, Scarborough in June 1972, with its London début at the Criterion Theatre in July the year after.

It then transferred to the Vaudeville Theatre in September 1974 and reached a run of 973 performances, including those in Scarborough and London.

A new production was staged during May 2011 at the Curve Theatre in Leicester and now the play will come to Altrincham.

The production is sponsored by Sunrise Senior Living.

Monday tickets have already sold out.
