A 29-year-old Timperley man has been charged following an assault at a protest in Manchester city centre last weekend.

A 29-year-old Timperley man has been charged following an assault at a protest in Manchester city centre last weekend.

James Goddard, one of the so-called yellow vest activists, has been charged with assault and a public order offence.

He has been bailed to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday March 20th.

Goddard, of Kelvindale Drive in Timperley, was arrested by police this morning following a protest that took place in Manchester on Saturday.
