Dunham Massey and Tatton Park are to reopen this Wednesday.

The National Trust has announced that the car park and deer park at Dunham Massey will be reopening on June 3rd, but visitors will need to pre-book tickets.

The car park has been closed since the start of lockdown in March, resulting in visitors having to park on adjacent roads.

Trafford Council has recently announced a clampdown on anyone parking “inappropriately”, with dozens of parking charges issued by officers in recent days.

Tatton Park has been closed since March 23rd

A statement on the National Trust website said that Dunham Massey would be “turning people away who arrive and haven’t booked”.

Tatton Park, meanwhile, is to reopen its parkland to the public on Wednesday.

It said its decision was “part of a phased response to the latest government guidance and advice from Public Health England”.

The parkland and toilets will reopen on June 3rd, with the gardens reopening for pre-booked visitors from June 8th.

The farm and mansion will remain closed, however. The position on these and other facilities, such as shops and catering, will be kept under review in the light of the latest government guidance and the ability to open safely for staff and visitors.
