Rudy's Pizza given green light to open Altrincham restaurant

It had submitted an application with Trafford Council last year.

A plan to transform part of the former One Central unit in Altrincham into a pizza restaurant has been approved by Trafford Council.

Mission Mars, the Manchester-headquartered company behind Rudy's Pizza and the Albert's Schloss bar brand, last year submitted an application to convert Charis House on Central Way, which has been unused since food and drink hub One Central ended operations last year.

Trafford has now approved the proposals, which will see the building completely overhauled.

Among the work given the green light was a new frontage, the installation of ground floor side and rear walls, the erection of single storey side/rear extension and the repositioning of the external stairwell.

The finished restaurant would comprise of a ground floor dining area to the front and a first floor dining area to the rear.

An external dining area would be positioned to the front of the plot, adjacent to
Central Way.

Rudy's Pizza would be located at Charis House on Central Way

Having opened its first pizzeria in 2015, Rudy's now numbers 25 restaurants, and it opened on Northenden Road in Sale in May 2022.

Rudy’s follows the authentic Neapolitan tradition of pizza making, with its dough made fresh daily using Caputo ‘00’ flour which ferments for at least 24 hours.

In accordance with an authentic Neapolitan technique, the dough is cooked in a Stefano Ferrara oven for just 60 seconds.
