'Burglary kit' and Porsche keys found as man arrested on suspicion of Timperley burglaries

The man was brought into custody after a raid by Greater Manchester Police at an address in Wythenshawe this morning.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglaries in Timperley.

The man was brought into custody after a raid by Greater Manchester Police at an address in Wythenshawe this morning.

Officers subsequently found keys to a Porsche, Jeep and an Audi at the property, as well as a Rolex watch.

Also found was a rucksack which police said resembled a 'burglary kit', with mole grips, pliers, a tracker, signal jammer and suspected class A drugs.

A 24-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and obstructing a police officer.

Both individuals remain in custody for questioning by GMP detectives.

Chief Inspector Gareth Firth, from GMP’s Trafford District, said: “We currently have a man in custody being questioned by officers thanks to the swift actions of our officers.

"Thanks to a great team effort this morning we were able to make these arrests. Our investigation currently remains ongoing, and I would encourage anyone who may information or video footage to get in touch with police as soon as possible."
