Specialist wine shop and bar Corks Out has announced the closure of its Timperley branch.

Specialist wine shop and bar Corks Out has announced the closure of its Timperley branch.

The Stockport Road store has been trading for 10 years but has decided not to renew its lease from January 1st 2019.

It will close for good at 8pm on December 31st.

A statement on its Facebook page read: “We’re sad to announce that we’ll be closing our Timperley store after 10 years from the 1st of January 2019 as our lease comes to an end. We’re on the lookout for a new site in the South Manchester area so hopefully we’ll be back open soon.

“We’d like to thank all of our loyal customers for their support through the years and welcoming us so warmly into the community and we’re excited for our new plans soon.”

Corks Out, which also has branches in Stockton Heath, Knutsford, Alderley Edge and Chester, could remain in the Altrincham area if a suitable unit becomes available.

The chain was founded by Ruth Yates and her husband Richard in 2003.
