A 43-year-old man has been interviewed under caution on suspicion of a Section 20 assault in Altrincham.

A 43-year-old man has been interviewed under caution on suspicion of a Section 20 assault in Altrincham.

Police last week released an image of a man they wanted to speak to in connection with a “nasty assault” in Altrincham town centre.

It related to a disturbance that took place on Railway Street – close to Papa Cinos takeaway and the Cheshire Tap bar – at around 2.50am on Saturday 15th February.

A 26-year-old man who was taken to hospital with face and arm injuries has since been discharged.

Police have now said that a man interviewed under caution has been released under investigation, pending further enquires.
